Video Game Movies

i dont know if you guys are paying attention, but 2 movies based on video games (Spy Hunter & Hitman) are due out soon... Im sure you alreay know that the "The Rock" is the star of Spy Hunter, which is duable since the spy hunter guy never had a face... But Diesel as Agent 47... Im scared they might make this Great Video Game series into XXX... Not saying he's a bad actor... I actually like the Riddick Movies and the game was pretty good too. But when you have actors like Jason Statham (Lock,Stock,& 2 Smoking Barrels, Transporter, Crank), Vinnie Jones (Snatch, Xmen3, Gone in 60 sec), or even Ben Kingsly (Hes a little old, but they do wonders w/ makeup). I just think Vin doesnt really have the look, the accent, and hes to bulky as Agent 47 is big but more cut... But we will see

Okay this might be a little old but I have to ask: Why did they decide on Denzel Washington as Master Chief for the Halo movie?
Come on....
Master Chief is like 7 feet 6 inches tall
And from what I can deduce, Denzel is not that tall. What are they going to do, use midgets as the marines and the other characters (no outright offence to the little people)?
Must be that he might have the new voice of Master Chief but we have to wait and see.
Hope they don't butcher this like they butchered Doom....
God that movie sucked eggs hard.

The movies that have come out for Comic are sometimes very disappointing--I blame the directors. Video Games have the same vulnerability and are subject to being sucky. Batman movies for example, the first two movies were great. The rest of the movies SUCK. The directors lost the sence of who BATMAN was. Prepare yourself for spending money on a movie that which you checked out from Blockbuster.

Vin is usually a good actor unless were counting the pacifier, but i really don't think he should play Agent 47. That would almost be the same thing as someone deciding let's make another sequel to XXX or let's just keep dropping Vin into these movies where he clearly has no clue what he should be doing between lines when he should be basking in the sinisterness of whatever character he is playing at the time. I f you want a good VG movie to go see just wait a few months for the new Resident Evil movie. I have to say that the second one was a little out there but it was good just the same. Not as good as the first one but good anyway. And just think, Claire and Leon aregoing to be characters in this movie. Now we just have to see if they'll include Tyrant and William Birkin, and Ada Wong.

I dont know where you get your info from falllen, but there is no hard data that denzel is gonna play master chief, plus denzel is 6ft tall, and quite muscular (i.e Man On Fire) But the fact of him playing master chief, I really doubt it, because one there is no definite script as of yet.

And not all comic books movies suck, I like the spider man series, the last batman was actually pretty good, x men was good till the last stand. the ghost rider movies looks bad ass, and they actually picked a substance abuser (robert downey jr) to play iron man who is a substance abused in the comic. superman was sketchy, and Fantastic 4 was lackluster, but silver surfer is supposed to be in the next F4. And the new batman has heath ledger playing the joker. Oh and wolverine is supposed to get his own movie. But elektra sucked, and even though daredevil is a bad ass comic the movies story stank...And the CG on Hulk was sub par...

Are you kidding me, Superman was a good movie. It didn't really have much of a plot but it was a good movie. X-Men 3 was a good movie, there were times when you got confused as hell but it was alright.I seriously don't really know about Iron Man, but I can pretty much agree with you about the others. and i seriously cannot wait for Spider Man to come out.

Im not saying superman was bad, but did you clue in on all the comprisons to Jesus. Plus there wasnt enough action, and the actors didnt seem to know there characters. Im used to Lois Lane being a pushy reporter, here she was just mediocre, and not as annoying. And I could go on all day about the problems, but it was a decent movie. I watched it matinee and was happy because paying 9.50 would have pissed me off. And yes X-men was a good movie, but as far as it staying anywhere near its comic roots, it did not. I blame this on Brett Ratner, who if you didnt know is a new director to the series, they should have kept Bryan Singer. This is another I could go on all day about. But it wasnt as good as it could have been.
